Monkeying around with drones…

Monkeys vs. Drones: A Planet of the Apes Moment

This was just too funny not to share. Somehow monkeys make everything better. Especially when they’re swatting at technology like they’re auditioning for an umpteenth release of Planet of the Apes.

In this case, these chimpanzees were not having it. A drone flies in, they give it the side‑eye, and then – BAM. Turns out these chimps are as grouchily concerned with their privacy as my neighbors, but instead of rocks and shotguns, they use sticks.

From a distance it’s hilarious, but it also says a lot about how drones and privacy collide. Even animals clearly recognize when something doesn’t belong in their space. The way these chimpanzees react to a buzzing UAV feels like a low‑budget, real‑world version of Charlton Heston landing on that mysterious planet and realizing, “Wait… the apes are in charge now.”

Drones, Curiosity, and a Little Sci‑Fi Nostalgia

Monkeys are naturally curious, and when a drone shows up, it’s like a shiny, noisy UFO dropping into their world. They size it up, poke at it, and then assert their dominance in this case, by knocking it out of the air with a stick.

“You MANIACS….You blew it up … damn you all to hell”
