This is right up there among my favorite gallery additions of being a professional drone pilot. First of all, I raced motocross when I was a kid and am still a huge enthusiast. I have a KTM 450 EXC, A Kawasaki KLR 650 and a Giant Trance Mtn. Bike.  So watching the supercross this year, although thus far my Tomac wishes have been dashed, I get to see two national commercials that I worked on. The piece you see here is the promotional piece put out by Suzuki. And on another note, when I raced motocross, at Saddleback, Indian Dunes and Escape Country, Suzuki was the dominant brand. Honda eclipsed Suzuki’s dominance very soon thereafter when they started pouring money and resources into their motocross line, but for those few glorious years, with Roger Decoster helping develop their bikes, Suzuki was the shizzle. Cole Brothers in North Hollywood (next to the first In and Out that I remember) was the place to buy ’em). I still think Suzuki makes an amazing product, but aren’t, or can’t put the money to promote them.
On this gig I worked with my buddy Austin White (USA Sport Inc), who directed and produced, whom I have worked with a fair amount, and am on his recently assembled Motocrane team. His family owns Arizona Cycle park and I flew the drone for their recent AZ Open live stream broadcast, which is one of the premier events for Amateurs. The shoot took place at an un-named private track near Delzura, CA which is 10 miles away from the border town of Tecate which has a wall running thru it. It was July, so it got real hot during the day.
